Warriors To Sign Nick Boyd To Exhibit 10 Contract

Undrafted rookie free agent Nick Boyd is joining the Warriors, according to the Wisconsin men’s basketball program (via Twitter).

While the Badgers’ announcement didn’t include any additional details on the deal, Jon Chepkevich of DraftExpress and RookieScale.com has confirmed to Hoops Rumors that Boyd will be signing an Exhibit 10 contract with Golden State.

Boyd was granted two years of extra NCAA eligibility due to COVID-19 and a redshirt year, so he was in college from 2020-26, spending time with Florida Atlantic, San Diego State, and – most recently – Wisconsin. The 6’1″ guard had a huge year for the Badgers in 2025/26, pouring in 20.7 points per game on .480/.365/.830 shooting. He also contributed 4.3 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in 31.9 minutes per contest.

Because he was playing college ball for so long, Boyd is already 25 years old, but he still holds some intrigue. Sam Vecenie of The Athletic and Jeremy Woo of ESPN ranked him 53rd and 65th, respectively, on their final pre-draft big boards.

It’s unclear if Boyd will get a chance to compete for a two-way contract or if the Warriors envision him becoming an affiliate player for their G League team in Santa Cruz. If they take the latter route, he would be eligible to earn a bonus worth up to $91K if he spends at least 60 days with Golden State’s NBAGL affiliate.
