The Lakers have agreed to sign undrafted free agent Robert McCray V to an Exhibit 10 deal, reports Jon Chepkevich of Draft Express (via Twitter).
The bouncy, 6’4″ guard played his senior season for Florida State after spending the previous two seasons with Jacksonville. He averaged 16.3 points, 6.1 assists, and 1.3 steals per game in 2025/26 and was named to the All-ACC third team after ranking third in the conference in assists and 11th in scoring.
McCray is a career 34.8% shooter from three as well as being an explosive athlete, having registered a 43-inch max vertical, Chepkevich notes. He ranked 90th on Jeremy Woo’s final big board for ESPN.
If McCray is waived before the start of the season, he could earn a bonus worth up to $91K if he spends at least 60 days with the Coachella Valley Lakers, Los Angeles’ G League affiliate. Exhibit 10 deals can also be converted to two-way contracts before the regular season begins.
