The Pelicans have agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with unrestricted free agent Chris Bell, Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers reports (via Twitter).
Bell played his first three seasons at Syracuse before transferring to Cal for his senior year. The 6’7″ forward averaged 14.2 points and shot 40.0% on 5.6 three-point attempts per game this season. While he didn’t post big rebound or assist numbers, he proved to be a reliable shooter in college, posting a .386 3PT% across 129 total contests.
Bell was unranked in Jeremy Woo’s final big board for ESPN.
If Bell is waived before the start of the season, he could earn a bonus worth up to $91K if he spends at least 60 days with the Laketown Squadron, New Orleans’ G League affiliate.
