Bath Rugby could well have a major boost for their Gallagher Prem semi-final against Exeter Chiefs, as Finn Russell may return following a calf injury.
It will be the Rec side’s third consecutive outing in the play-offs, and they’ll go into this weekend’s clash against Exeter with the added confidence of Russell’s return, who could have played last weekend against Leicester Tigers.

That said, Bath director of rugby Johann van Graan kept his cards close to his chest when questioned on his availability for the contest.
He was also questioned on Russell’s recovery following his side’s narrow 24-22 win against Leicester Tigers, and shed a rather positive light on the likelihood of his inclusion in the crunch encounter with Exeter.
Asked about Russell’s fitness ahead of facing Exeter, van Graan repeated: “He is in a very good place.”
“It is going well,” he added.
“He is doing it with a smile. It’s about managing risk and making good decisions.
“If you think back two seasons ago, he had a groin injury, and we made a decision when to put him back, and again, if this was do or die today (against Leicester), we would have put him in.
“He’s in a great place, but he’s not perfect. He’ll have to get through the week, but let’s see.”
Time will tell whether Russell will be involved in Saturday’s huge contest at the Rec; van Graan selects his team on Friday afternoon.
