The Hornets have agreed to Exhibit 10 contracts with Marshall’s Wyatt Fricks and Alabama’s Latrell Wrightsell, Edge Sports International tells Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer (Twitter link).
Fricks, a 6’9″ senior forward, was the only NCAA player with more than 50 dunks and 50 made three-pointers this season, according to Boone. He averaged 15.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in 31 games while leading the Sun Belt by shooting 55.2% from the field, along with 34.7% from beyond the arc.
Wrightsell, a 6’3″ senior guard, is also a prolific three-point shooter, connecting at 36% this season on 7.8 attempts per game. He also posted 13.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 27.3 minutes per night.
Neither player appeared on ESPN’s big board of the top 100 prospects.
Exhibit 10 contracts are non-guaranteed and can be converted to two-way deals. Both players will have the opportunity to earn a bonus worth up to $91K if they’re waived before the start of the season and spend at least 60 days with the team’s G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm.
