Hearn, who recently signed Pollock to Matchroom’s talent agency alongside Stellar Rugby, has made it clear he believes the back-row forward can become one of the biggest commercial stars the sport has ever seen.
According to sources, Saints have been told that Pollock’s next contract could eventually need to be worth as much as six times his current club salary if they are to keep pace with his growing reputation and commercial value.
The Premiership champions remain in a strong negotiating position thanks to the length of Pollock’s existing deal, and there is no suggestion the England international is looking to leave the club.
