From international stars securing major moves to clubs planning for the future with key signings, plenty has happened. Here’s a look at some of the biggest transfer stories and announcements from the rugby world this week.
England and British & Irish Lions loosehead Ellis Genge could be in line for a lucrative move overseas following the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia.
According to RugbyPass, several Top 14 clubs in France, along with sides in Japan Rugby League One, are monitoring the Bristol Bears front-rower. A big-money switch abroad could be the next chapter in Genge’s career once the global tournament concludes.
Meanwhile, reports have suggested that Toulouse captain Jack Willis has a break clause in his contract that could pave the way for a return to the Premiership ahead of the 2027/28 season, potentially making him eligible for England selection at the World Cup in Australia.
The 29-year-old will also qualify to represent Ireland later this year through his Belfast-born grandfather, prompting speculation over a possible international switch. However, Willis has recently played down both scenarios, insisting his immediate focus remains on his rugby in France.

Elsewhere, Northampton Saints sensation Henry Pollock looks set to land a significant pay rise when negotiations begin on his next contract.
RUCK understands that Eddie Hearn has already made securing an improved deal one of his first priorities since taking over as Pollock’s representative.
While the England and Lions star still has several years remaining on his current agreement, Saints are well aware that his market value has soared, with his next contract potentially worth up to six times his current salary.
In Australia, Dan McKellar has stepped down as NSW Waratahs head coach with immediate effect.
The 49-year-old leaves the role after two seasons in charge, citing personal reasons for his departure. The Waratahs have confirmed the search for a replacement is already underway.
