Undrafted rookie free agent Zach Cleveland is signing an Exhibit 10 contract with the Grizzlies, according to the Liberty men’s basketball team (Twitter link).
Cleveland, a 6’7″ forward, spent all four years of his college career with the Flames and has been a starter since his sophomore season in 2023/24. He was named the Conference USA Player of the Year in 2025/26 after averaging 11.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.3 blocks in 34.9 minutes per contest across 33 games.
As those numbers indicate, Cleveland isn’t a big-time scorer, but he’s a jack-of-all-trades contributor who does a lot of things well. Ranking the wing 68th in his pre-draft guide, Sam Vecenie of The Athletic described Cleveland as “wildly athletic” and lauded his passing ability, but noted that he needs to develop a more reliable shot.
Cleveland only attempted 36 total three-pointers over the course of his college career at Liberty and converted just four of them, for an 11.1% success rate.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a non-guaranteed training camp contract that lines up a player to earn a bonus worth up to $91K if he’s waived before the season begins and then spends at least 60 days with his team’s G League affiliate. It can also be converted into a two-way deal before opening night.
