The announcement follows recent extensions for teammates Émilien Gailleton and Hugo Auradou, underlining the club’s intention to build around its emerging core of international talent.

Since joining Section Paloise’s academy in 2022 from Stade Montois, Attissogbe has quickly progressed through the ranks. He integrated early into the club’s professional environment, featured in Supersevens competition, and helped secure the French Espoirs Accession Championship in 2023 before winning the World Championship with France U20s.

He made his Top 14 debut in September 2023 at just 19 years old and went on to feature 26 times in his first senior season, scoring seven tries and establishing himself as a regular in the squad.

His rise continued at international level, earning his first senior caps for France in 2024. He has since featured in tours, two matches of the 2025 Six Nations, and all five fixtures of the 2026 Six Nations, which France won.

Now one of the most experienced players in the national setup despite his age, Attissogbe has already reached 13 caps for France alongside Gailleton. Comfortable on the wing or at full-back, he is known for his pace, aerial ability, game intelligence and composure in key moments. He has already made 63 appearances for Section Paloise.

Théo Attissogbe said: ” I am very happy to continue the adventure with the Section. Since my arrival, I have seen the club grow and progress year after year, whether in its daily demands, its ambitions or its way of working.

“It’s a project that I recognise myself in and that I want to bring to the table. I feel good within this group which is also growing with the seasons.

“I would also like to thank our supporters who make us experience incredible emotions thanks to their loyalty, their passion and their support at the Hamlet and elsewhere.

“I am aware of how far we have come, but also how far we still have to go. I stay in Pau with the desire to continue to grow this club and above all with the ambition to win something together. That’s what drives me every day.”

Head coach Sébastien Piqueronies praised the decision to extend his stay and highlighted his importance to the project moving forward.

“Theo is an ambitious player who has been able to grow with our project and I am very happy with his decision to continue with us. We now have a common responsibility: to confirm ourselves in the three seasons that await us.

“We want to support him so that he becomes a leader of our team and, by extension, a key player of the French XV. Our shared determination must serve our project and confirm our ambition to establish ourselves in a stable and sustainable way among the contenders for the top 6.”
