The Clippers and Cam Christie have agreed to push back the 20-year-old guard’s salary guarantee date to July 20, according to Law Murray of The Athletic (Twitter link). As Murray observes, that’s one day after the NBA’s Summer League ends.
Christie’s $2.3MM salary for 2026/27 was originally set to be guaranteed if had remained on the roster through June 30.
The 46th overall pick in the 2024 draft, Christie has played a modest role with Los Angeles over the course of his first two NBA seasons. He made 55 appearances last season, averaging 2.8 points and 1.4 rebounds in 8.7 minutes per game.
Christie’s contract technically runs through ’27/28. The Clips hold a $2.5MM option on Christie for that season, with a salary guarantee date of June 30, 2027.
