Bucks To Acquire 60th Pick From Magic For Cash

The Bucks are acquiring the 60th overall pick in the 2026 draft from the Magic for cash considerations, sources tell Shams Charania of ESPN (Twitter link).

Orlando just acquired pick No. 60 when the team agreed to send the 46th selection (Felix Okpara) to Washington. The Magic also added the 51st pick in that deal.

Milwaukee will be hard-capped at the second apron by sending out cash in this trade, but that’s not a huge concern because the team currently isn’t close to that threshold. The Bucks are embarking on a rebuild after agreeing to trade Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Heat and likely won’t be a taxpayer anytime soon.

The Bucks added an international prospect in Malique Lewis with the 60th pick. A 6’8″ forward from Trinidad and Tobago, the 21-year-old Lewis spent the last two seasons in Australia playing for the South East Melbourne Phoenix.

Lewis appeared in 25 games during the 2025/26 NBL season, averaging 7.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.2 steals in 21.3 minutes per contest. He posted a shooting slash line of .455/.387/.800.

Lewis, who was ranked 66th on ESPN’s big board prior to the draft, had a strong performance in the adidas EuroCamp in June, which he was able to parlay into multiple workouts. Following the camp, he was medically cleared by the NBA’s fitness-to-play panel after a heart condition prevented him from participating in the G League combine.

Interestingly, the Bucks weren’t among the teams that worked out Lewis, but they’ve had plenty of chances to scout him over the years. Prior to joining the Phoenix, he spent a season in the NBA G League with the Mexico City Capitanes and was in Spain for two seasons before that.
