Alex Antetokounmpo Signs With Greek Club

Alex Antetokounmpo has left the Bucks and officially signed with Greece’s Promitheas Vikos Cola for the 2026/27 season, Johnny Askounis of Eurohoops.net relays. The Greek club announced the signing on Saturday.

The youngest brother of superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, Alex joined his brothers Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo on the Bucks via a two-way deal that he signed last October. He wound up appearing in just six NBA games, averaging 3.2 points in 3.5 minutes.

The 24-year-old forward spent the bulk of the season in the G League, seeing action in 47 games with the Wisconsin Herd. He averaged 4.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 rebounds in 18.o minutes per game.

Alex also spent parts of three other seasons in the G League. Internationally, he’s played for Spain’s UCAM Murcia, Lithuania’s M Basket. Podgorica in Montenegro and Greece’s PAOK. He also had a brief stint last season with Aris BC before signing the two-way deal.

With Alex’s brother heading to Miami in a blockbuster trade, the Bucks had little incentive to retain him. Doc Rivers and some of his coaches were reportedly irked this past season that Giannis’ brothers were occupying roster spots that could have gone to more productive players.
